Tuesday's Together?

Today is "Tuesday's Together" for the youth group. My kiddos were up early and ready to go.

Mercedez had to be at a cheer meeting at 8am. I had kiddos to church to meet at 10:30 (picking up 2 friends on the way). Seth, Tori and I met Sarah and Madison at Subway. Tori commenting that we say a whole lot of people we know:) True. I love a small town! I picked Mercedez up on the way home. Arrived home to have Sandy and her sweet boys in the driveway. They were on the way to my dad's and stopped by to visit a few minutes. What great kids! What a great sister!!

Sarah took Tori and Madison to their girls day (for 2nd -5th graders)and came back in plenty of time to still visit with Sandy's crew.

As I was talking with my big boys, Jacob and John, Scott called to say that Joseph had been in an accident at work. A "not his fault" accident. The ambulance was taking him to the hospital. Scott was following, well Scott actually left in front of the ambulance. Jacob and John went to meet them, I stayed to play "pick-up" with my Indians. Only one parent is allowed back and thankfully Scott could be there. It looks as if he has hurt his knee (which is swollen) and his hand (perhaps broken his pinky)? Life sure does change course quickly!!

As I sat down to blog I checked my messages. I had one from Caleb. The one that says .....
hey! We got reminded today to tell our parents to make sure that their passports are up to date because (not saying anything will) but if something DID happen to us they would send us to a German hospital and pay for your plane tickets to come stay with me (that includes paying for the ENTIRE trip) IF you have passports. Just thought i would let you know. Love you =)
Gosh, talk about bringing home reality! What a day! Thankfully Scott and I both have passports that are ready to go. It is my hope and prayer that mine is used next to visit Caleb when he is finished with his tour and we travel to visit him in German...sight-seeing!!

This Tuesday together is almost half done.....but it seems like it should be midnight!

Well, as I finish this post...it is a few minutes til midnight and the day has been long....but it turned out well.

Joe is fine (well, he is likely going to be sore) and was released to go back to work tomorrow. We are so very thankful for that blessing!!

While at the pool this evening Tori stated she had a game (and unscheduled game) that she needed to be at in about TWENTY minutes! We raced quickly and got home, John taking her with minutes to spare. John is a great big brother, and he is a great helper!

The hosptial called and forgot to do some lab, so John babysat while I went back to Joe's house to pick him up and take him back to the hospital. Scott was at Tori's game. Thankfully we managed to slide in a great chicken Alfredo meal in the middle of all that!

John watched kiddos again as Scott and I took Seth to his first practice and had our parent meeting. I came home after the meeting and Scott stayed. Scott and I texted back and forth. Seth is a fun fun fun sport. He is talent, attitude(the good kind), love of the game and pure will power all rolled together. While he is currently making me crazy with his attitude (at times) at home....he steps onto the field and his attitude is really awesome. I love that. I hope to drag it back into the home realm too:)

After the scrimmage, Scott and Seth rolled into a quiet house. Kids in bed, and John waiting for our nightly card game. We really enjoy (Scott and I both) playing with the kids...my big kids. It is a great time to stop and talk (and eat lots of popcorn). John said tonight, "Now I feel weird if I don't play cards before bed." lol:) I love my biggies and I love securing a time to sit and yak (and if I am really lucky...I win!). Tonight the luck, and win, was John's:)
