ipods and my kids

I received a text at 3:45am the other morning that simply said: "Mom?" The text was from a 615 area code and I immediately assumed it was some lost child looking for their mother. I mean, at 3:45 in the morning all mine were in bed and accounted for. So I did what most people do and said, "who is this?" lol:) Although I wonder why we do that? I likely didn't know who it was even if they told me their name:)

But the reply? "Caleb"

We live in a crazy world. We now live in a place with technology that is simply too much for me to even understand at times. But, to make this technology short and simple....Caleb can text me from his ipod, from Afghanistan. That's the craziest thing! But I spent several hours in the early (really early) morning texting with my Caleb. It makes him feel closer.

Chelsea and Bo are on a mission trip in Panama and the texted to tell me they would receive messages through Bo's phone(an iPod too). Crazy! But wonderful!

I am ever grateful for the technology that allows me to keep in touch with my children!! What a blessing!
