"I know a lot of hero's, I'm just me."

Today a soldier, Army Staff Sgt. Salvatore Giunta, will be honored with the Medal of Honor , he is the first living service member to receive that honor from the Iraq and Afghanistan War and the last Medal to living service member was during the Vietnam War. Honors. Well placed. But, as it always seems the case, the quote above bespeaks of the humility and service we see in those we deem "Hero's". To me, the video and story show the kind of young men/women who serve our county. I know there is good, bad and ugly in every part of life, yet in this time, this young man was willing to give all and in doing so he certainly displayed "conspicuous gallantry". I am so glad when we see GOOD stories, when we honor those who serve with more than our words. Today one such soldier will receive the Medal of Honor and will carry it well for all those who do the same thing day in and day out in this war!
