From the most incredible places small seeds spout:)

I made the decision to make my blog private two days ago. I had several of my boys sending me messages that they could not see my blog...then several friends. I need to say this about one of those friends.

Last year I had a young lady send me a message, one of the sweetest messages I had ever received, and in that she told me she had been reading my blog for years. In a few short sentences she made me cry and made me laugh, but most of all she made me think about the world we live in. Today she did the same thing again, she allowed me to copy some of her words to my blog:

......I am so sorry for that obstacle but I know if anyone can handle it it is definitely you! You're like supermom! As a teen (and I'm not quite sure I believe that when you're 18 you all of a sudden know all the ins and outs of the world and can truly call yourself an adult) i know we all have our moments where "the grass is always greener someplace else" but eventually we grow out of that and regain our senses and remember that mom is usually right. Some remember faster than others haha! You're one of three women who I consider role models for how to be a woman of good character and morals, how to be a woman of God and how to be a great mom! I can't wait to log on to your blog again its crazy how fast the time goes! When I fist "met" your family Jacob, John and I were freshmen in high school and now we're about to graduate!
Many thanks for the laughter and lessons,
Felicia

In this world we wonder so often about "what this world is coming to?" and the words of this sweet friend makes me realize we are blessed in the world by so many people! I am sometimes taken so wonderfully by surprise and blessed so greatly by a single smile or sweet words of encouragement. Today a high school sweetheart, a girl with wisdom way beyond her years, she blessed me in the nicest way. We seemingly focus so often on the big picture. There is a time and place for that, but so often in our big picture viewing we miss the small things. We miss moments of greatness. Aubrey Johnson says in his book The Barnabas Factor, "Real greatness comes from small acts of goodness preformed daily by those who trust in God to bless even the mustard seed size efforts to encourage(Mark 11:23)" Today I was blessed by an act that is so simple, they were words, but words so kindly offered! Thank you sweet Felicia!

We have moments always...but remember:

" The smallest effort is better than the greatest excuse" Aubrey Johnson

Effort always counts!!!
