Finding Humor...

Jacob is too silly. I find his facebook status' pretty humorous! These are a few I thought I'd share with you....I think you'll find it them funny too:)

....if there is 365 days in a year but only 360 degrees in a circle so what happened to the other 5?

I just read a list of the 100 things to do before you die i was pretty surprised yellin for help wasn't one of them...

Jacob Smotherman is tired of chasing dreams, fixing to just ask them where they're goin and catch up with them later

Atlanta.....PTC....and home again:)

We had a running trip to Atlanta to see Uncle John our wonderful incredibly talented uncle who happens to be the best Orthodontist! We had a 5pm appointment and we arrive about 4:20....were in and out quickly. Well, except for the neat part of the visit....getting to visit with Julie, Hannah and John:) After our short but sweet visit we headed south to Peachtree City to see Chelsea and Bo. They met us for dinner. We went back to their house and enjoyed the evening with them. I loved these pictures..... Chelsea and Bo have a "Tennessee Room" and Tasha was enjoying it until she, my die hard Alabama fan, realized where she was (and tried to escape)....

It's been a while since we have seen Bo's face:) Love these two!!!

Chelsea and Bo's Christmas tree:)

Sarah, Paden and the Switcheroo of Days:)

Today should be Joseph's day, but Sarah and Paden decided with Joe no where in sight that they would preform a little switcheroo and they so very graciously gave Joe thier day. lol:)

Doug's Day:)

Doug opened his day...right on the right day! I have no child who has gone to more Titans games than Doug so his Titan Tumbler was very appropriate!!

Me, Myself and I

Caleb sent this to me this morning. He emailed it, but I, in my computer illiteracy, could not figure out how to get Adobe to post here. So I did what I know how to do and took a picture of it to blog here:) When Caleb was in basic training he was forever sending me these doodle guys. We dubbed them Pvt Smotherman but now that Caleb is a PFC I suppose I could change them? Either way ...I love them!

I told him this was incredible and very Biblical too. As Christians we must first motivate ourselves before we can motivate or encourage anyone else. The greatest commandment in Matthew 22:37-39 is :

Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’[a] 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.

We can't love our neighbor if we don't love ourselves....so we have to first have our heart and mind and soul in the right place. Caleb's little friends "me, myself and I" are so huge to us. We must be our own best friend. We must love ourselves enough to do the right thing for US!!

Tonight Rosie went forward in church. She had written a letter (unknown to Scott and I) that sweetly said she had turned away from Christ and that she wanted to be a better example for younger children, her brothers and sisters and others. She thanked those who have prayed for her and asked that they pray as she makes the changes she needs.

I am so proud of those words. Those words can come from no other than "me, myself and I". Every action, every thought, every deed begins with us. So....I am really loving Caleb's doodle ...so very appropriate today:) Haha...and EVERY day!

Jacob's DAYs of Christmas!

Christmas is getting closer and closer! Jacob opened his days gift today:) Ryan thought we should burn it...lol...I think it was the Texas fan in him. He was joking. Surprising, I have a bunch of different fans yet lots of respecting going on!
